Our Story

The Annalee Project started with one person — a business owner and developer — who wanted to build something that could genuinely help the community grow stronger.

That founder built theannaleebusiness.com over 10+ years, later built theannaleeproject.com as a marketplace platform, and personally leads theannaleeproject.org, our nonprofit focused on community programs. The marketplace's maintenance and commission fees are directed entirely to the nonprofit's projects — the founder receives no fee from this arrangement and has personally donated the platform's development and continued use, at no cost, to support the mission.

What this means for you

If you shop on the marketplace, your purchase supports these programs indirectly through the fees the platform already collects — but your purchase itself is a commercial transaction, not a donation, and is not tax-deductible.

The nonprofit (501(c)(3) status pending) is a distinct legal entity, though closely connected through shared leadership.
